one thing I have noticed is that it's very quite and doesn't take very long for tank to fill up.

Khos, same as mine, except mine is Blue, keep a check on oil seals on flywheel side, tend to leak. If you're going to use it for spray painting, setup your air regulators and water filter/trap about a metre above the compressor, say on the wall of your shed, otherwise you will have trouble keeping the air dry. Also drain the air tank regularly, I've noticed on mine that the air tank is getting rusty on the inside (rusty drain water). I will be stripping mine down and treating the inside with rust cure and then put some metal primer in and slosh it around, when that's dry I will add some Rust Guard paint to seal it up, happy with the performance of it though, Regards Frank.

Thanks Frank; can you please elaborate on the point ( Bold letters ) a bit ,

this is the first compressor I've owned. WRT Regulator do I just
unscrew the knob and adjust air preassure from the second outlet valve on RHS?

and How do I drain condensation from the tank ?

most air tanks have a drain bolt somewhere, like a sump nut so you can open the tank and drain it

why are compressor manufactures now quoting liters as the norm ??
50L?? whats that?? air tools dont run on liters, so if your spraying or using a rattle gun that requires 15CFM how do you figuer that out of 50L???

Hi Phill;

on Specs sheet says 12CFM , wouldn't that not be sufficient enough to run let's say an air gun ?

Hi Disco owner,

If you don't use the cheaper compressors all day every day they're not too bad.

If you're using yours for spraying paint you really need to look at improving the air filters, or sourcing clean air away from paint mist. The filters on yours look to be either internal spiral at worst or cheap internal foam at best.

Paint mist will gum up the valves in the heads and drastically lower efficiency over time.

I needed 15cfm and just joined 2X 7.5's Supercraft together.......cost about $89 each and 70 odd for all the fittings. Failed head gasket on one (10 min fix with sikaflex) has been only prob. Both will hold air pressure for well over a month without use, which surprised me.
