inspecting the transfer case fluid in a d2 td5.

do i have to remove the drum brake to do this. i tried yesterday while servicing the car and its impossible to get a tool into it. is there an easy way that i'm just not thinking of.

also my front diff has a wierd topup/inspection hole plug. its round and just has a massive flat head screwdriver sort of notch in it. what tool would work for this. no screwdriver is any where near large enough.

    thanks.

I'm pretty sure I just stick a breaker bar straight onto the nut.
    Cheers
