I bought mine from Brian Hjelm on here. Good quality and can't complain about the price.

11/16 UNF (16tpi) sounds right - but I can check mine when I get home.

NS is National Special. NF & NC are National Fine and National Coarse, the standard forms of the the American National system. NS is to be used only when a standard thread is not adequate. In this case, steering rods, the size has been in use since before rationalistion in about 1949 when 11/16 became an obsolete size to be used only as necessary when a standard would not be adequate.

LR/RR steering rods are 11/16" x 16tpi NS, left hand and right hand. I have both taps and dies in right and left hand available exstock. Taps are intermediate lead, and the dies are 1 1/2" diameter. Both taps and dies are High Speed Steel. Taps $16 RH, $30 LH, dies are $20 RH, $35 LH. Plusd postage.

21 x1.5 metric.its cheaper to have it done if i get tap insted of doing it with lathe.

I think you would be better off to keep both ends the correct parts, that is the 11/16" x 16 tpi LR part. However, a 21mm x 1.5 tap is available even if it is a rarely encountered size. Would be ex USA, about 4 weeks delivery, and around AU$60 dependent on exchange rate and air mal cost.

What is the reasoning behind having the Toyota rod end on one side?
