Thread: 300tdi balancer q

    I'm at work at the moment, so can't go and take a pic to post, but several years ago I bought a bracket from Rangie Spares in Thomastown that piggy backed a 2nd AC compressor beside the original one. I had to upgrade the AC pump in the Rangie to a new gas one, so I used the old pump as an air compressor. I ran a very short belt from one compressor to the next, the bracket allows for some adjustment.

    Looking under the bonnet of the Defender, it looks like you'd be able to fit the same set up on the 300Tdi. I'll try to post a pic in the next couple of days.

    They charged me about $40 for the brackets & bolts.

    unfortunately not much room for a second ac comp next to the old one unless you reposition the header tank
