the bellhousing is different, but the internals are the same (bb have a few differences but not much) not sure on ratios, what side was your starter on, both of my bb ones and my rover/inter on is on the same side i think
I bought one of these TF727's for the 1:1 ratio LT230. I had several people looking for TF727 boxes look at photos of the gearbox and tell me it's not the same one used on big-blocks etc. Starter hump on the other side was apparently the giveaway.
Some research led me to believe this is the same TF727 which was used in the international scouts in the US.
I got $15 for mine as scrap. I kept the extension housings and adapter shaft incase someone had a use for them.

yea theres an adaptor (but i dont have one either) which means when you use the chrysler bellhousing it brings the engine about another inch backwards.
on the left ie passengers side?
modify the rhs transfer case mount 80mm higher
trans to tailshaft looks like it will clear fine, shifter is cable operated, transfer shifter will either be chocked up on an angled wedge (looks like it wont effect the linkages) or left on an angle (with the boot over it it will be hardly noticeablle. rear tailshaft is going to be an issue anyway due to patrol diff, will probably be using cv joints (possibly supra rear axle shaft) so hopefully it will work out ok, nothing is happening at the moment due to valiant issues but hopefully i will have that sorted soon and can get back to work on the rover
