I'm putting a 96 disco 3.9 in my 86 rangie and obviously the temp senders are differant, in both thread size and resistance values.

essentially what i;m looking for is a sender the same thread as the disco one but with the resistance values of the range rover gauge, anyone have any luck finding one??

other options would be using a screw in adaptor to use the rr sender (will sit a fair bit higher though and wont be in the coolant flow as much as before, problem?)
or drilling and tapping the smaller disco thread to suit the larger rr sender (if theres enough meat around there?).

i want to keep running the 3.9L inlet manifold too, dont want to change back to the 3.5 one.

Just thought i'd try and get some info/ideas as i'd say a few people would have done this conversion before.

cheers,
Cal.
