I'd think not as I have disco seats for my 2 door Rangie and will need a custom mounting So vice versa may be the case. I could be wrong though.
    Cheers Tony.

It can be done tho im sure the seat bases from the rangie had to be used and some mods were required but it makes a D1 much more comfy as there normal seats are shyte

Hi I put dicovery1 seats in my 89 rangie and just had to drill 2 holes. Although Taff done the same but his rangie had a different base and had more hassle fitting them. The rear seats fit also , just the lock catch needs swopping.

Don't the D1 have ths seat belt latch on inside off seat and belt mech mounted on B pillar. In the case of my 2 door is the main cosideration other than mount base. Has to be safe and leagle.

Looking at the pics of the classic rangie seats Lue is talking about they are not orignal classic rangie seats (they may be in one but they did'nt start there life in one)

Lue if your after a better seat for the disco measure the width of the seat base, go to a jap wreckers get seats with the same width seat rails, and away you go simple to fit and if you spend a bit of time looking you will be able to get seats with adjustable lumbar, seat squab, and wings I did this with my rangie the seats have little motors in them easy to wire up I used electric window switches to control the adjustments, very cumfey...

The buckles were both fitted to the seat itself and I did swop them over (now you have reminded me) as the buckles are different.

mmmmmmm i dont find them comfy with 3 bulging discs in my lower back! and 2 vertbrea working together 3/4 of the way up my back which causes real bad back ache on long distance journeys......

they just dont support me in the right places, people have suggested seats to me before, but you no what its like i dont have time to traul car yards looking for seats

thats why i'm hoping i can get something that will bolt straight in, and that also looks half decent, and would prefer to have the 2 as i'm not allways the driver........funny thing is i actually really like defender seats find them much more supporting in the lower back area.

oh yeh and maybe i'm fat and long!!!
