Thread: Lift pump alternatives?

I believe the Diesel one uses a different piston material, possibly stainless steel and a different seal material. I have heard the petrol ones will pump Diesel for a while (possibly years) and then seize, looking at the differences this may be due to swollen seals or a corroded piston. I'm sure they make a Diesel version for a reason

I would have thought that diesel would have more lubricating properties than petrol, and be less likely to disolve any seals.

I think the difference would be the flow rate. They assume that a petrol car would use less fuel than a diesel truck, so would have a smaller flow rate.
