Thread: 130 dual cab rear door lock stuck

I have done a search and can't find a fix. I can't unlock the rear door. Its been intermittent for a little while but now it wont unlock at all. All amount of jiggling wont work. I can get the door trim off enough to get to the latch mechanism however I still can't budge it. The interior lock button doesn't seem to come all the way up by about 3/16". I even disconnected the lock button rod and operated the locking mechanism on the latch itself with no effect.
The door can't be removed as the striker is captured by the latch.
Is there any way of getting the door open short of an angle grinder?
