Thread: R380 Noise .

Hi Guys , Noticed today in the disco that the gearbox is making a noise similar to a set of straight cut timing gears . and when just moving it's making a notchy type of sound . I haven't checked the oil levels yet but will be doing it in the morning . The sound is the same pitch through all gears which makes me think it could be the input shaft ?????? Any ideas ???

Collapsed bearing in there somewhere. Pat

I'm about to find out what it is as the gearbox is coming out today . Oil levels were fine but the gearbox fluid was nearly black .
