D2 coolant leak from water pump

I'm trying to trace the source of a few new leaks under the Disc and noticed a fairley fresh coolant stain that seems to be coming from a small hole under the water pump? Can anyone offer any wisdom on this, am i up for a new pump? Photo is not too clear (bad light) but you can make out the coolant stain on the under side of the pump.

I would say that means that water is getting past the water pump spindle seal and that you may well need a new one. (waterpump that is)

yes as the other guys say replace it or the bearing goes and then have all sorts of issues like I did on the 4.6 ....

the weep hole underneath lets water out which may get past the inner seal then through the bearing:

they are not to bad to do did mine at 140,000 km's, you have to remove the centrifugal oil filter assembly so you can get the water pump out

    Yep,

Agree with Stevo. Not that expensive and not that hard, but you will need to get the filters for the centrifugal standpipe. Check the RAVE if you have it, if not download it!
