I was looking at the ashcroft site a week or so back, they have a kit that allows you to lock the converter at will if I remember correctly. Don't recall the details but I think it would do what you are after.
Don't TCs have a stall speed measured in RPM! What does road speed have to do withit. The clutches inside the auto are linked to road speed? Then again I may have it all wrong. Please correct me as I am confused![]()

I've already demystified the auto in its generic form here... the electric ones work in the same way but use electronics to make the decisions in the same way that the ECU replaces the governor racks and fuel metering devices in a TD5
