PM Tony or Panda, they have just put Parabolics on their Series 3, I would assume they would be the same.
Baz.
Anyone know where I can buy a set of Parabolic springs to suit a Stage 1 V8, also some 50mm extended spring shackle plates, Regards Frank.

If you are fitting parabolics, I'd suggest you don't fit extended shackle plates. It can lead to over extension of the springs and they can bend. Most parabolics tend to sit a bit higher than standard springs anyway.
Gday Frank,
My turn to help you.
I fitted parabolics from FWD in Brisbane, (Rocky Mountain) 5 months or so ago and was told that 2 leafs on the front and 3 on the back would be ok. I queried this as my girl has a bed in the top and a heavy Ford 302 Cleaveland under the bolnnet. My car sits too low, by far. I put the stage 1 diff in on saturday and the front propshaft is now rubbing when I go over small bumps.
I tried the military shackles when I firs got them even though I was told not to. And they seemed to sit even flatter.
The ride is bit simular to the Perentie coils (almost) and she rocks from side to side in the sand but they are much better than the old leafs.
The guys from FWD gave me a brand new set of leafes which I need to seperate and add to the pack to make 3 leaves. Hopefully this will fix it.
My advice is go more not less and the longer military shackles dont improve the height, unfortunatly.
All the best,
Tim
More leaves = stiffer ride = less wheel travel offroad.
IMHO, the best option is to use the smallest number of leaves that will do the job. A Stage 1 V8 has the lightest engine put into a series landie.
Dave_S who posted above used to be the Australian agent for RM paras. He had an ISUZU-powered SIII Stage 1 (400+ kg of engine) with 2-leaf paras. It rode higher than std and the suspension worked well on and off road. To be honest I am surprised you need more leaves.
Military shackles are designed to be used with extended spring hangers. That combination increases height by 1.5" F+R. Just using military shackles alone would give only half that, and wouldn't help the front pinion angle or caster.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I have tried the place in Melbourne...via their website but no reply!!!
(Just like that with other parts I wanted. Ended up getting them from the UK in the end...and cheaper).

Just adding my experience: DON'T fit extended shackles to the front of a standard stage one chassis!! I got my stage one cheap cause the front propshaft had let go and torn out the wiring, brake lines, etc. It had extended shackles and I noticed the bad pinion angle but didn't worry too much at the time. Fitted a brand new front shaft and within 9 months the centre-ing device in the double cardan joint had completely flogged out! They have the double joint because the front shaft angles are so bad to start with. The transfer output is angled slightly upward fitting Parabolics and extended shackles tips the pinion below the horizontal as well.
