    diff problems

well i was told that my diff is stuffed and i took the centre out as i am changing it tomorrow, but i was wondering how to tell if its the diff as all the axels and the centre look fine no b roken or worn teeth, i do know there is something not right with it because b4 i took it apart we jacked up the rhs and put it in drive and it was a bit noisy then when we jacked up the lhs and put it in drive it was really noisy and since its the first diff ive had to pull apart i was wondering what i should be looking for??

It will more than likely be the centre pin that goes through the spider gears (sun gears) (pinion gears) inside the carrier on a standard rover centre that is loose
