I have only been on here a short time, but I have never seen any reference to TD5`s for engine swaps
I am considering a tdi300 for a R/R, but would be just as happy to use a TD%
Can anybody give me the pro`s and cons please??
itd be a great mod to do but the wiring would be a nightmare as would plumbing up the radiator and intercooler..
I think youd also need to change the front end of the box to suit the td5
but theres nothing in there that you wouldnt have to do to change from one engine to another anyway, theres just more of it....
then you get the joys of restarting the debate of whats better....
a mechanically controled engine thats lower on power, and economy and worse on emissions but allegedly more reliable than the other one
or
an electronically controled engine thats got more power, more fuel economy better emmissions but you allegedly cant fix on the side of the road....
