    Maybe brakes ?

I was driving the disco down the street last night and out of nowhere the disco pulled really bad to the left and then come right again .It felt like the brakes as the disco slowed down and the engine went underload as it happened . I had not touched the brakes for a good minute or 2 before this happened . Any ideas ?

this might sound stupid but this had happend to me once or twice........until i realised it was happening in certain spots i realised it was actually the (ruts if you like) left in the road by trucks waiting at lights and stuff

i know because there is one partiacular spot were it does it to me all the time especially if i have to brake in that area it pulls me really hard

might not be your case but thought i would mention it

My guess is you have a wheel bearing about to fail, probably LH front (wouldn't notice the pull as much at the rear). Try jacking the wheel up and see if it rotates freely without any roughness (handbrake on, diff lock off, box in neutral), also check hub temperatures after a run - should be all the same.

If doing the same check on a rear wheel, make sure the other wheels are chocked as you need to have the handbrake off.

this can also happen if you get a problem with the CV's or the diff binding up in the front...

you check for it the same way as you check for dodgy bearings, by lifting the wheel and turning it.. it also helps to lift both wheels and check them while someone turns the steering wheel.

Hi Guys , well i have done as Dave and John have advised me to do checking all the bearings and diffs and cv's . None of them was the problem as it was all sweet but i don't have any brake pads left at all . Now the one that was grabbing was caked with mud . Cleaned it all up and i have no more grabbing ......... pads will be here tomorrow .
