    Decal removal tip (d1 bonnet)

I got the old decals off my bonnet today nice and cleanly.

Tried the eucalyptus oil and the heat gun but neither worked.

I decided to very carefully sand the decal with 100 grit [gentle!!!] only so that the top layer comes off and they become porous. Spray them with soapy water from a spray bottle, and taking a razor blade at a very low angle, scrape them off in small back and forth movements.

Keep your soapy water at hand, make sure everything stays nice and wet whilst moving the razor back and forth and the paint won't be damaged.

You can get the adhesive residues off using Wax and Grease remover and it should come up nicely.

    Hope this helps someone
