    on batteries, how full should each section be in the D2 batteries? mine are all at the same level, which is just below the low point of the filler neck things. is this correct? no plates are any whee near exposed.

    I would think that sounds about right. Is there not a fill level mark on the side anywhere? guess you cant see it as the battery is still in the car?

    I would be pretty confident your issue is the battery.

    well it was the battery.took it out& got it tested....stuffed.

    the battery place only had one,apparently they only fit td5's,& western star trucks.

    they also said the starter motor on the td5 does not have a reduction gear ,which is why they have a large battery.dont know if this is correct.
