me again got a question that troubles the best of the boys here where i am so i thought i may bring it up with people that really know pommie stuff 
i have a 1984 range rover highline with standard open diffs front and rear 10 spline axles and single x shaft so thats 2 planetaries and 2 sun gears now apparently the axles are ment to be the weak link in these things so 
my question is why have i destroyed 18 diffs and only 1 axle??? what modifications can i do to make these things stronger its got to the point where i can change a rear diff in 20 mins and a front one in 45mins many people have told me to change over to nissan gq patrol diffs but there is alot of mucking around with welding mounts etc and i priced a patrol centre with not much change from $1000 where i can source a rr diff for anything between $100 and $300 i use fully sinthetic penrite oil in them that was one suggestion i heard and i admit they lasted longer but still blow after a bit.
