    binding ....

Hi Guys , A little while ago i had replace the brake pads and found my front caliper sticking on . Blknight had said it maybe the diff or the CV's binding . Well I now have something binding as when i get on full lock while driving it slows the disco down and makes the steering heavy . whats binding and what causes it to bind ? Thanks

It sounds like your centre diff is locked.

I had a malfunctioning (front left) brake caliper once in a classic rangie, it didnt release properly and then would get hot through friction and the fluid in it would then expand causing brake binding..would this fit your symptoms? THe fix was a replacement caliper.

Like Scouse says, possibl;y the centre diff is engaged...Jack up 1 front wheel with the gearbox in neutral, but park brake on. If you can turn the front wheel the CDL isn't engaged.
