    Tyre choice for playing

    Hi Guys,

Trying to work out best options for a set of tires purely for play.

I have, Discovery IIA TD5 (soon to be chipped) with ARB Winch Bar - currently standard height. I have some 16" x 8" Rock Crawler Rims.

I am running ATR's on my Standard Alloys and want to set the rock crawlers up with something reasonably aggressive - but preferably pretty cheap at the moment.

I am unlikely to get into really hard off road stuff - but something that will handle the Toolangi mud better than my old BFG At's is where I am looking.

Can anyone give me suggestions of what tires and sizes you would recommend.

Probably jungle trekkers in 33" to suit the D2, nothing else compares

Yeah probably dont need Simex's just yet. I would suggest BFG Mud terrains, Goodyear MTRs or Mickey Thompson MTZs in 245/75/r16 or some similar size. You can run 265/75/r16s with a 2 inch lift but with standard height yourbetter off with 245's.

The new BFG muddies might be available...they look the goods!

Other point is at the moment I am on a budget.. that means CHEAP.

So even new BFG Muds may be out of range at the moment.

If I have to choose between school fees and the BFG's..... I think the missus might not be amused if I chose the muddies

33" inch silverstone might be a better option for standard hieght..........seeing as they measure up at 32"

Mongrels aren't available in small 16"

Don;t think they'll be available anymore at all seeing as Motorway tyres has shut its doors
