Having said that, the probe Ian supplies is pretty sensitive, the slightest feather on the throttle gives an instant reaction on the readout.
The 6mm probe I ran for a while wouldn't get within 200C of what the 3mm probe reads on a 0-100km/h sprint.
If you were reading the 6mm one as gospel, you'd be in the poo.

If you had a probe with almost zero lag, it would respond as fast (and in a very similar fashion) as a good boost gauge does. But none of them do.
