Where can I get this oversize seal kit? I'm in Chatswood Sydney.
Does this work?
The local repairer down in Brookvale is charging $800+ to
Recondition..........
I've owened the car since new, done 98,000klm.
Thanks fellers.

					These people
Karcraft Australia
sell the seal kit STC2848 for under $100 ( you almost get two red lobsters as change). I bought one recently but haven't used it yet. It looks like it has all the rubber seals to do the whole box.
On another car I have used the standard black sector shaft seal (STC2847?) on a 4 bolt box and it works fine. The hard part is getting the drop arm off without damaging the shaft itself.
Taking it apart isn't too hard, but it requires a workshop manual. (RAVE).
Or buy a 2nd hand box - I believe there's one on ebay, and probably a few with TR spares Padstow or Land Vehicle Spares Silverdale. Don't bother going to a Dealer. (Aka Stealer)
On a vehicle that age, try a whole bottle of Powersteering stop leak. I've had success with that product on yet another car - it will keep you going around town OK, but a rebuild is probably recommended if you go offroad.

I tried all that with mine but both the bottom bearings were shot and they wrecked the shaft and the worm had a chunk out off it so I bought a new box for $750 from the UK posted to my door. Pat

If I was doing it again I'd grab a new box from the UK. I had a reputable LR repairer reco mine. When back about 3 times for leaks. In the end gave up and put up with leaks.

I have spent nearly $4000 on this car in the last 12 months, only to find out its only worth $4000 to tradin, may as well have handed the keys to the repaire 12 months ago and let him keep it.
Ok the result will be a rebuild with 30000klm warrenty, kiss another $800 bye bye.
Thanks fellows for all your help.
