Hi guys,
One of the guys that I see when I deliver to a woolies store(sydney),was saying that he saw a disco up on northern rd the other day at a wreckers(he thinks it was a diesel, had chassis, steering arm damage, looked like it got hung up on a rock/ledge).
He is thinking of getting one for mainly off road work(i.e. not rego'd).
He has a 308 sitting in his garage and he's wondering how easy/hard it would be to put it into a disco/rangie.
Gave him the site name and told him to have a look and register so that he can get more info for the swap, told him that I will get the ball rolling re the swap.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Marks adapters do a holden V8 to RRC 5 speed(Basically exactly the same as a D1), but the diesel box isn't the same spigot diameter OR bellhousing pattern.
Is his 308 a chev or holden bolt pattern?
If it is a chev pattern 308, it'd be Easier to fit a TH400 and 308 with a marks adapter for the LT230...Be pretty much unbreakable drivetrain then...Except for the diffs
I it is a manual pattern 308, a V8 LT77 or R380 will bolt up with a Marks into Rangie 5spd kit.
I'd go the TH400 personally for offroad work, a 308 will ruin a LT77 pretty quick if he's running big wheels.
