    Question 2008 defender getting hot

    Hi Guys.
Hopefully a simple question. I have a 2008 defender and have noticed recently that during a bit of a trip the floor around the gear levers and the front seats seems to get a lot hotter than i remember my 2003 getting.
Is this normal or should i get it checked.
    Regards:

climb under it and have a look at where the extra intelligent ford engineers decided to poke the exhaust....

you now know one of the many reasons I will not own a tdic powered defender.

    Thanks blknight.
Just climbed under and had a look. Not very clever those ford blokes. The exhaust runs right near the floor for quite a ways.Looks like a cold climate car then and will keep my feet warm..lol

Possibly the hand brake binding. Go for a bit of a drive and CAREFULLY check to see how hot the drum is, or alternativly chock the front wheels, jack a back wheel off the ground and rotate it whilst listening for the handbrake rubbing.
