got my hands on a pair of rallye 2000's, now spotties were always last on my list to buy but i reckon these might be a bargin

they are secondhand and the guy at work has given them to me to fit up and try first.......maybe next weekend

1. there is only one wire coming out the back, do they earth through the bolt/bracket

2. the guy at work said make an offer, they appear to be in good nick, the reflectors seem OK, i'm guessing they will work, they come with clear cover and the white covers + two spare bulbs. i see i can buy a pair on ebay for $360 a pair HELLA 2x RALLYE 2000 SERIES 4WD 4X4 DRIVING SPOT LIGHTS - eBay Other Lights, Indicators, Lights, Indicators, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. These lights have an Achilles heal. Check the little plastic clips top and bottom screw on and off and that they are intact. They're not that expensive to replace, but they don't last well over ruff terrain and work loose. I nearly lost a light in the Wilton river several years ago and always used to travel with 2 spare brackets and screws.

I thought they had two wires, but might be getting confused with the 4000FF's I had later on my D2

Other than that they're a good reasonable light, though for $360 you can get IPF 900XS (including wiring kit) which I feel are a far better light and in a very well sealed housing.

Two wires on the Hella's. Should be a Brown & Blue.

They earth through the body, there's an earth wire inside.

I swapped a pair of IPF rectangular lights (spots) for a pair of Rallye 2000 spreads. The clips, as already stated were a bit dodgy, but you can by-pass them and screw through the rim.

I invested a whole $65 and got Chinese H3 HIDs from ebay. I had to remove the internal shroud to fit them, but they're a lot brighter than the IPFs (which also have HIDs). The Hellas got 4300K HIDs, the IPFs have 6000K HIDs. I think the 4300Ks are a lot brighter.

I thought they had two wires, nope just one blue wire on each
