These lights have an Achilles heal. Check the little plastic clips top and bottom screw on and off and that they are intact.  They're not that expensive to replace, but they don't last well over ruff terrain and work loose.  I nearly lost a light in the Wilton river several years ago and always used to travel with 2 spare brackets and screws.
I thought they had two wires, but might be getting confused with the 4000FF's I had later on my D2
Other than that they're a good reasonable light, though for $360 you can get IPF 900XS (including wiring kit) which I feel are a far better light and in a very well sealed housing.
