Thread: EAS reset NEED EQUIPMENT!!!

Go to Jaycar, get an OBD2 plug and a serial plug, a bit of cable. Then come back here and I'll tell you where to down load the software to do the rest and how to make up the reset cable.

SWEET!!!! only problem is my lappo went troppo about 8 months ago and I need to either get my car in the house....... missus will like that..... or drag my PC outside!!
Mind you, the bullbar is still a virgin and she has been talking about French doors to the patio.....

But i will get the bits and let you know!

On a Classic, I presume the connector right in the corner next to the brake master is the main data connector??

Here's a first! I think I'm going to overrule Ron!!

The Classic doesn't have an OBD2 connector, but you can still build the cable, you just need to hard wire it to the EAS connector. Check the link previously shown.

did the tail end lift up heaps as you were dropping the trailer off? if it did you might have out of ranged and damaged a position sensor.

It did lift a bit, but nothing unusual to what it normally does. Shouldnt have gone out of range as the trailer only weighs 380kg!
This is why I want to plug it into Testbook first to see what the fault is.
When I plugged in my spare ECU, it automatically faulted but didn't drop down, which is what usually happens when its a wheel sensor. It could be the pressure switch as I have had a fault or two from this before.
BTW, I did a drawing on the details you sent last night. I am going to see if I can link in the tank pressure switch to control the compressor cutout as it does in the normal ECU. Will let you know if it works!

There are 2 ECU's under the driver's seat on a 93, from memory the top one is EAS, I am sure it has it marked on it. It is not an OBD plug, it has a small white plug with about 5 pins. You will need testbook or similar to read the faults.
You say you changed the ECU was it the EAS ECU
