Thread: prince of darkness strikes.

Have a 97 disco, went to lock with remote other nite & snib buttons went up & down a few times.Would not lock & when opened door the alarm went off.Locked with key & unlocked the alarm still went off.When alarmed stopped car would not start as it seemed to be immobilised.Left for a few hours and it started,changed battery last nite in remote same thing happened all over again.Can lock & unlock with key all okay but try remote & all goes haywire.Any ideas please.

When my central locking does that sort of thing, it is either a door not properly shut, so the locking actuator does not travel a full stroke, or a broken wire or bad connection.
