Red face How hard to unplug a cable?

OK, I love my disco, but at the moment I’m having issues with my feelings for Land Rover.

I’m trying to remove the window ECU.

I’ve skimmed my knuckles getting the impossibly small nuts off the unit, and I’ve removed the face plate so the printed circuit board can be removed, I’ve even removed the larger of the two wiring plugs.

So here is the problem, the smaller of the wiring plugs had a clasp or clip, as part of the plug, that attaches to the socket.
Only I do not know how it attaches, do I squeeze it into the plug?
Do I try to prise it away from the plug?
Do I just try to cut the clasp off (not ideal as it keeps the plug in)?

Typically for Land Rover the circuit board will come out 2/3 of the way with the wires attached but not far enough to get it out and see what is going on.

    Help.

RonMcGr did a write up on how to get it out and fix it. If you search for that then you will get your answer.

All I remember from when I fixed mine is that the plugs were a real PITA to get out

I had a quick search before I started, but I was unsuccessful as I do not know what it is called?

    Read this page

    Rear Power Window - Fixed

I asked the question myself. I don't really remember but the answer was to just pull hard. No clips.

Page one of that thread has photos which appear to be from the tech section of discoweb.org --
