Only the radio PIN code need to be reset, for the radio too work
Nothing works when there's no battery and it will need to be manually locked of coarse
Baz.
Hi All,
Does anyone know if I disconnect my battery what works and what doesn't in terms of alarm and central locking? Also if I leave the battery disconnected for a few weeks or months even, does anything "forget" or reset itself that I need to be aware of?
I think there is something funny about locking the car with the key, then opening it using the remote too? And when I locked the car with the key the other day, all doors locked except the boot - which then preceeded to set the alarm off when I opened it - much to the annoyance of a pleasant looking old lady nearby who shouted "shut up".
Thanks,
ChazB.

Thanks Baz, I guess it was a bit of a stupid question in that respect!
But any ideas why the boot didnt lock when I locked the driver door (and all other doors supposedly) the other day?
And from your answer I presume no issue with any ECU or other stuff forgetting or resetting if left for long term.
Cheers,
Chazb.
No i don't, it should lock with all the other doors, did you lock it seperately OK??
No other issues with any resetting after a long period.

The boot can be flaky. I think there is no detector to disarm the alarm when it fails to lock, unlike the door locks. You can also disable the radio code so that you do not have to worry about it.
