    Discovery 2 td5 Electrics

I have a 2001 TD5 that regularly lights up the Traction control, the Hill descent and the ABS dash lights for no particular reason and at the same time, the alarm tolls once. My mechanic has checked that everything is connected and the Auto Electrician assures me not to worry. but it keeps happening? Should I be worried?
The Auto electrician recently fixed a fault in the fuse board, apparently caused by corrosion. He said there was probable a leak in the windscreen on a body panel.
Has anyone else had this problem fixed and if so, How?
The auto electrician also suggested Discoveries don't like river crossings. too many sensors low down? But I like crossing rivers! What to do? Cheers.

The Discoverys are fine with deep water crossings, just dont stop and drown it. I'm thinking that your mechanic really isn't up to speed with Discoverys. The 3 lights are typically indicative of a faulty ABS sensor. If he pluged his diagnostic computer into it.... he does have one doesn't he? then he will be able to work out which sensor it is.

Find another auto electrician that knows what he is talking about!!

Seriously though Slunnie is right, most likely a faulty wheel sensor .. or even a loose plug to one.

Let us know where you are and I am sure someone can recommend a land rover mechanic that could help you.

There are other reasons for those 3 lights.. (try searching the forum for 3 amigo's) but most likely it's a wheel sensor.

    Cheers, Mark
