Thanks for the feedback. Mine is waiting for me at the post office. I'm not sure if I'm game to fit it before we go away at new year though.

I have been eyeing off the deletion of my EGR for a while, so now I will have to do it . Sounds like the improvements are worth the time and effort.

it takes out the EGR valve system so the exhaust gasses dont go to the inlet. its replaced with a pipe and flange for the inlet manifold/turbo hose and a small blanking plate for the transfer pipe.

    cheers phil

I made one up myself. The thing pulls better between 2000 and 3000 rpm.If ya get rid of the muffler it helps more. After i get back from holidays in early Jan i will make a few kits up for the egr. So if anyone wants one drop me a PM and i will get onto it then. $50 should do. You get 2 gaskets a block off plate and the inlet fitting painted black or black

which V8? i dont know much about the new range of v8's, but if its got one in the system i figure it would have the same out come if removed.
anything to lower intake charge will be a plus.

    cheers phil

As a 1st step you could at least unplug the modulator and/or block the vacuum tube to prevent the ecu from opening the valve, then change the housing later.

Had a look at the RAVE disc for my 2003 4.0 litre v8. It appears I don't have an EGR system.... one less thing to worry about !!
