    TDI headbolts

    Do the bolts in the head have to be replaced as a matter of course when replacing the head
    Modulus of elasexceeded?? perhaps
    Does anyone know??

    If the head has been removed for any reason it is advised to renew the head bolts

    its not a requirement on the tdi's but I reccomend that you do.

    thatway if you have to do head work while your out bush you dont have to worry about replacing them...

    that said.

    IMHO if your doing something important like head work a new gasket and a new set of bolts is always a good idea.
