    Tinnerman Fasteners

Dose anybody know where to buy Tinnerman clips from? They are the fasteners used on the floor pannels of series landys

    Have a look here-
    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/good-oil/6...ree-clips.html

I don't see what I think you mean on the page, but I recently used speed nuts on the floor of the Defender. I thought I saw something much closer on a Champion rack in Supercheap.

Four Wheel Drives in Melbourne have them, and I would expect most other non-dealer Landrover specialists to as well.

i doubt that mr land rover uses tinnerman anything, most likely an automotive copy.
if you want real tinnerman clips try 'aircraft spruce and specialiaty'
they have an online cattledog, and are very good at getting the stuff to you.

    Ok thanks guys,

I know i can get them from Aviall out at archerfield but they have a minimum order of $200. I don't think i want $200 worth of Tinnerman Fasteners I'll see what some of those landy places have in stock.

Are they the plastic square tapered items that push into square holes in floor panels? If so, I want some too. I have not been able to find them anywhere. UES reckon they have never seen them. Austral Land rover say they are not listed as a spare part.

I understood he is talking about the metal ones used on the earlier Series Landrovers, not those.

Brian, these are the ones i am thinking of:

You can get similar plastic clips to the ones you are talking about from Repco, they are slightly different in that the flat secton of them is a circular shape not a square shape

I doubt you will find the same size new - I tried all teh aftermarket places after seeing specialists charging $1+ per piece, ended up getting a bunch out of an old mini of similar vintage.
