    Question Repairing cracked snorkel

    hi

Was wondering what would be the best way to fix a cracked snorkel (crack is about 120mm long and is on a corner).

Silicon it or a Epoxy Resin or get it plastic welded???

    thanks

shave some thin strips off the snorkel somewhere like the top where the hat goes on and then find a really big soldering iron and weld away.

easily done. if the cracks not too wide ide just use black sickaflex. give it a few applications over 3 days to build up its thickness.

Welding is really the only thing you can do as the plastic is either polypropylene or polyethylene, cant remember which one and epoxy doesnt take to either very well.
For a temp repair, use Sikaflex and use some black 3M 100mph tape over the top.
