    ABS Fault

The D1 has come up with a ABS fault, the lights on and off so I checked the sensers, three have 1.1-1.2 ohms, one has 13.5,would I be right to say it's the guilty one?. Pat

Pat, quickest way with a D1 is to apply the brakes on a dirt road reasonably hard, and note which wheel locks up. That is your suspect sensor

Pat, good thinking with the brake switch, they usually log a permanent code, IE light stays on permanently. With a intermittent or key resettable anti lock lamp in a D1, it is usually a wheel sensor fault. Either from excessive air gap or actual open circuit in the sensor.

Have you tried tapping the sensors in? (gently) Have any of your wheel bearings got excessive endfloat?

I just fitted an ABS sensor (front) to a D1 today, had fault codes for intermittent open circuit, and several excessive air gap ones. Pushed sensor in, drove around and lamp came on again. Code then read intemittent oopen circuit
