    Won't !!!!!!
The SLS warning light is on, therefore the SLS system shuts down and won't operate until the error is cleared.

I think you are right though...the compressor is definitly not working that well, which is why as Stevo said, the duty cycle is exceeded, and the whole thing shuts down.

I 've ordered the parts from LR now to convert it to coils anyway. It's way cheaper than the price of a new compressor.

Maybe I'll convert it back at a later stage if I can justify the cost of a new compressor, but for now I just want it to be running and reliable. One less system to go wrong anyway.

    Hey Paul
Can you PM all the part numbers for the conversion when you get them.

    Thanks Justin

Yeah, I had thought about a second hand one as well......the problem is you don't know how long that will last either.

I'm not giving up on the SLS, I just want the easiest way to get my car back on the road. At this point chucking a couple of coil springs in there is cheap, and easy.

If the compressor is able to rebuilt as you say, then I'd be interested to find out how. I can rebuild mine while I'm on coils, then sort out the SLS again later.

I did buy the Disco with SLS on purpose, as I thought it was the superior setup......I've just had a lot of trouble with it so far.

    Hi Caveman,

I know this is an old post but you have mentioned that you have done the "owners reset with the key and door" to resolve your SLS problem.

Can you please explain how to perform the "owners reset with the key and door" as I'm having the same issue.

    Many Thanks.

    Stewie.

Last night after returning home I turned of the D2 and got out, only to hear a nasty hissing noise from the SLS. The rear suspension then proceeded to empty itself in about 10 secs and dump the car on the bumpstops.

I've only just recently replaced both airsprings, so I was pretty certain they weren't leaking or the problem. I started the car back up to see if it would pump up again, but all I got was the SLS warning light illuminated and no compressor noise. I did the owners reset with the key and door, but the light still remains on, and the compressor does not run.

    So my questions are:

    1. Is the compressor likely to be the fault.? (it probably had to work quite hard when my airspring had a leak)

    2. If not the compressor, what else could it be, and how can I check.? (I'm guessing I'll need to find someone with a testbook for any further diagnosis.)

    3. If it is the compressor, where have people sourced these from at a resonable price.? I'm not happy to pay $1500 to LR.

Please save your comments about replacing the system with coils for someone else, as I'm happy to keep the SLS and the flexability it provides. I'm sure once I've replacing everything it will be great.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Cheers
    Paul

Famous Four in the UK. $537 AUD last week, brand new at my door in Alice Springs.
Sadly, turns out there was nothing wrong with my old one. So now have a spare. At least the entire SLS is now new.

    Cheers

I just posted separately in Tech chatter also.

I have 12 month old Arnott bags. Which solved all my sagging problems.
Until about 3 weeks ago, I started suffering the sagging to the stops, evenly both sides over 3 days.
I just assumed it was related to the compressor assy.

I changed O rings on the valve blocks and pressure tested them and thought they were OK. refitted the whole show and 3 days later, saggy butt.

I sprayed the bags blah, blah and no leaks. So I decided (now proven wrong) that the valve block was giving issues and ordered the new compressor.

Fitted that and 3 days later, saggy butt.

So, JustinC has given me a tip which I shall follow up. In the meantime I have just raised it to normal again and used the Nanocom to tell it "coil"
    and no SLS.
My theory is that the new assy should be good, so if one of my Arnott bags has failed I will see a definite lean on one side over the next 3 days and can pursue replacement. Other than a dudd bag, I'm stumped.
Its only travelled 6000k since changed.
    I'll keep you posted.
    cheers
