might have got onto this thread waaaaaayyyyyy to late, but ashcroft transmissions do a 'part time' 4wd kit for the LT230 t/fer case, which might make life a little easier if you decde to go the landy driveline......

Be careful buying old Falcon engines. They have a well known cylinder head problem and good heads are getting hard to find and fetch premium prices.

Second thought. No need to pay for one. They can often be found as yard ornaments in public housing suburbs.
