Ok sounds like fair reasoning to me, it would be a shame to break a near-new Detroit because i was too tight to buy upgraded axles! Having said that, I'll wait until I get my diff apart and see whats what. My ute is a 1972 model, so fingers crossed about the early ones being a little better quality!!
