You have a manual that tells you to use loctite on the head bolts? Exactly what does it say and what manual is it?

Heres the manual pages here, but i think i may be confused and confusing you, in part 29 it uses loctite 572 (Low Strength Thread Sealant) - i bought this bolt lock stuff which i recon aint right now, so ill have to change it over tommorow.

But also ive been wondering, im fitting a composite gasket , and my head is the 14 bolt type. i read i could discard the (extra) lower 4 bolts when using this gasket or not do them up as tight. does this ring any bells ?

Loctite 572 is a thread sealer, not a thread locker, its to stop any liquid, oil or coolant, seeping through the threads.
