Not physically break no, but a lot of people have to change them due to oil ingress.
I seem to be good at clocking up firsts.
Last friday I had to take a rather rough detor due to road washout.
I noticed a slight miss on way home so lifted lid and had a poke around.
Injector loom just fell apart in my hand(connection to main loom just under head).Had to fit back on and TIE with wire....
Ordered a new one and was told it was a first!.
And what a mongrel it is getting the tappet cover back on with the new seal.
Anyway all good again.
Anyone else had this problem?

Yep,this one was in for 8 years but the housing just fell apart. It was a pia trying to get it back together. Just pins sticking out and everything hot as hell. Anyways going good now.![]()
Have not seen them fall apart. But if someone had had oil in the loom and used a contact cleaner that is plastic destructive it can and will cause this to happen. Usually something would have to break it down for this to happen.
I used a certain type once on plastic and it does destroy it, but you can get non plastic destructive contact cleaner easily.
