However today I noticed the fluid was down 15ml or so. We topped it up with Shell Helix ATF III. This liquid was a different colour (much lighter) than the fluid in there already. Today I drove for around an hour and came home and parked it on the road verge where it sat for the day.
When I got in he car to move it into the driveay today I could barely move the steering. Checking the fluid level revealed it to be almost empty. A puddle had formed under the vehicle.
Is it possible that our choice of what I believecould be the wrong fluid has caused this? Or do you all think I could have a cracked hose or something?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Ben.
