    TD5 Engine seize

My christmas present from the designers of TD5's is a sized motor !
The oil pump retaining nut falls off without warning. What sort of crummy design is this ? Oil warning light comes on and before you can pull off the road -the motor seizes, great ! thanks a lot Land Rover.

    OIL Pump

    Any comeback to L/R??
    I bet they won`t
I stuffed a def. g/box about 1mth out of warranty, and the maggots wouldn`t entertain it, even though there was an internal memo accepting that there was a lubrication issue with the ATF

    TD5 Seize

It now turns out to be a well known problem.
Why didn,t FR do a recall ? Bastards.
I think it would be pointless going to LR. My bloody vehicle over the last six years has now had them all ! Oil in the computer via the wiring loom, one wheel drive (no traction control) and no ABS because of brake squeal.

    td5 engine on ebay now

Item number: 290285009301 on ebay is a td5 engine from Bundalene
    $2700 120000km
My sympathy, just cooked my gas over diesel tdi300 in about two minutes, busted hose, and found an other one on ebay today for $1000, I'm still cranky though, and am fitting a low water probe this time.
Compliments of the Season to all
