Chev, EFI holden 5l, LS1, what's the budget??
Well yeah i'm looking fairly cheap hopefully lol, but im looking for sumthing with more grunt and thats fuel injected
I put a P76 (4.4 out to about 4.6) in my old 2 door and it transformed the car. It had a holley which wasn't so good on steep offroad stuff, but it went extremely well, surprised a few people
and has plenty of torque.
As already asked where and you located and whats is your budget?
98 Harvey the tractor - 300 tdi Defender Wagon
84 Alfetta GTV
im at camira and the budget is probably only 1000-1500
Good luck with that
Only real option, would be find one with a big motor in it and wreck it out
Maybe a 3.9L, but not much of an upgrade![]()
what would i be looking at for something powerful, yet fairly economical?
Cheap, powerful AND economical
4BD1 with a snail, not that cheap but![]()
Have you thought about a commodore v6 ecotec? i've been thinking about what to do to mine as well. You can pick up engine box and loom for under $500 that would last you a few k's
V6 ecotec weight about 190 kgs for the engine, when new made 152kw @ 5200 305nm @3600
Rover 3.5 is about 170 kgs makes about 118kw @5200 and 285nm
you can buy stroker kits for the v6 now and they last awhile. i have seen these engines make 500 hp(with a bit of work) at the wheels. I cant find a place that makes a kit for them to go into a rangie but i haven't looked to hard yet.
