Hi Jock, if you can work out where all the wires go to, I can come up with a connection set up for you and if you check out my web site at Traxide, you might get some idea of what you need in the way of an isolator, if you actually need to replace what you have.

Sounds very tempting mate and I would seriously consider it. Last time I was down the West Coast I was about 2 I think

But One dual setup is in a written off Defender and the other in a going one so dunno how I could work it out

I think my old man knows an Auto Electrician he used to teach, so Ill see if I can get in contact with him

    Unfortunatley no mate

Ill see if I can get my hands on one

If you don't have a circuit diagram how about a list of items that require power that are not part of the normal factory setup. We could treat this as a group project. I suspect that you will get more opinions than experts but we should get there in the end.

Can you draw-up what you have and where it goes, pics can be confusing, circuit diagrams help.

    discovery 3 dual battery

I know the tread does not refer to the discovery 3, though i though i might ask anyway... has anyone made sense of which dual battery system works in a disco3.. i have been to ARB, TJM and everyone in between, not once have i had a response that even vaguely resembled another and resolved the issue so i am told that there are so many extras in the vehicle its an HSE that the alternator can barley keep up with the primary one let alone be able to charge a second... PLEASE is there someone out there that can help me make sense of it
