Ask Disco owner. Have just draged a car trailer from Sydney to Rutherglen and draged a RRC back with ease on a hot day. His has a larger fridge, close to 15 psi and pump dyno tuned in. A very cool running engine. I was impressed. Goes like the scats with 4:11s and very good on fuel.

Boost pressure - 1 bar (give or take).

You can 'tune' the engine in various ways, intercoolers, pump, etc... but TBH I wouldn't bother. It's a Defender! If you want something quicker, get a V8 Disco...

I would think that rebuilding and reinstalling would require the final tweaks to be done on the cars = tweaked pump. Unless you are happy putting out heaps of smoke (oops unburnt fuel) for the sake of slightly faster spool up.
Iam sure your right slug burner all I know is mine has been rebuilt to factory settings and cannot be adjusted/tweaked to increase power untill my 12 month warrenty is up.

The only time mine blows smoke is at startup other then that it dosent blow any smoke.

Naa, pumps are usually bench tested and calibrated then sent out for fitting.
