    Transfer case issues

    Hi everyone,

My 94 RRC Borg Warner has developed a loose morse chain, probably brought about by the seized viscous coupling unit!

Anyway, to rebuild or change to LT230?

l would like to know what peoples experiences have been with both options, also places l could source parts for the BW case if its worth percervering with.

    l'm in Port Stephens, NSW.

    Any help would be appreciated

Probably better off finding a LT230 and ditching the POX viscous POS i may know of a LT 230 from a rangie of about 85 vintage which would be a cheaper option than fixing the viscous is yours auto or 5 speed ?? tho id say it wouldent matter as they both should have the same set up

If you change to a LT230 you will need the longer out put shaft with it.

    Thanks chaps.

Looks like l will go the LT230 option. For now l have removed the front drive shaft to release the bind up....the transfer case is certainly locked up!

    Cheers,
