Thread: MSD 6AL ignition onto 3.5 county

Anyone wired one of these up to there rover v8 what dizzy did you use and did you run the standard module into the msd, one web site i looked at said to run both modules. If you have ran one on a rover 3.5 let us know how it went.

I've got one on my 4.6. But I used an early SD1 distributor, not the Land Rover ones. It's a Lucas 35 DE8 Opus electronic type 1976-82. Ripped the guts out of it an swapped in a Lumeniton optronic switch and module. The msd6 is wired in between this and an msd blaster 2 coil. Works well - easier staring, smooother idel, more low/mid range torque. MSD website has a useful help forum.
