Yes, I have one on my old 109 V8 stage1
If I swap my auto gearbox for a manual one will my cruise control still work?

But the Stage 1 probably wasn't auto? I've instaled aftermarket ones (DIY) and they'll work with manual or auto - you just need a switch for the clutch to disengage the cruise control on gear changes. But with the factory fit system - where does the system pick up the driveshaft speed? and can the wiring for the neutral disconnect (if there is one) be used for the clutch switch? If these can be worked around then there's no problem.

No such thing as a silly question, here goes mine:
When I bought my '93 classic I noticed it had the cruise control bits on the steering wheel, but thought "no, this is a manual, cruise control is only for autos". Could I have been wrong in my answer to my silly question?

Yes I tried it, but nothing happened, so I will leave that one for another day.
