    15" or 16" rims?

    Hi Guys,

Looking at fitting some 35" tyres to my 94 defender 130. just wondering what people's opinions were on 15" rims? do they fit? do they have the same load rating? and does anyone know what offset i would be looking at so the tyres won't scrub on the arms?

    Cheers, Tim

15"s will fit but after having numerous 15's and 16's i'd opt for 16's for sure. they are more expensive but road manners, etc are much better then 15's.

if they are just a play tyre road manners isn't that much of a concern though. 15x8's or 16x8's you'll be chasing either a neg 25 offset - does sit outside the flares though and rubs without trimming, or a neg 0 offset with a little rub. post pics when ure done bud!!

i put some 15's on a couple weeks ago with 35's (had to extend out flares due to width of tyres though)... seem to handle quite well... very happy with them

how muchuptravel do you have in the rear? usually they scrub on the rear bottom edge first, butmaybe your little flare extensions may help this....

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the help. i went in to my local tyre dealer last week and he flipped out and was off the opinion i wouldn't get sunraysia style rim any larger than 7" wide. Just in the process of putting the 4.11cwps in the diffs and i'll be in to get some new rubber. Will post some picks.

    Cheers, Tim
